Slash your drug-testing costs by eliminating unnecessary urine tests and send the message of zero tolerance

PassPoint™ Drug Abuse Screening System
Ocular Motor Drug Screening

drug and alcohol screening toolsEye-based self administered prescreening for medium to large drug testing dramatically
reduces urinalysis costs and labor costs while improving client processing efficiency.

Increased drug screening and use deterrence with the added benefit of lowering costs.
PassPoint™ fits into your drug testing program as the first step in the routine drug screening process.

The screener becomes an ATM-like device on which the client self administers a simple 30 second eye scan.
At the end of the scan, the screened beeps and immediately prints out a thermal receipt that clearly indicates to
the client whether he or she needs to provide a urine sample or not.

Treatment and supervision are enhanced for several reasons.  Since the cost of the monthly screened service is fixed, more frequent screening is possible while actually decreasing costs, thereby greatly improving detection and deterrence of drug use.  The technology also picks up all drugs that affect the central nervous system, not just the 3 or 7 or 9 for which you historically could afford to test.  This is increasingly important as the variety of drugs abused explodes, including designer drugs and prescription medications.  Individuals that do not routinely pass on the system are flagged for greater attention instead of continuing to go undetected in a limited urine only testing environment.

General probation populations usually eliminate 70% – 80% of the urinalysis required.  Successful drug court and residential programs may see as much as a 90%+ reduction in urinalysis costs.  This clearly impacts your bottom line not only in reduced lab and onset kit costs, but your associated labor costs are equivalently reduced as well.  Your staff is your most important and expensive asset; this liberates their time to do much more valuable tasks than standing in a bathroom observing other people urinate.  Staff morale is improved and clients are rewarded for their abstinence by the elimination of most demeaning urinalysis observation sessions.  Clients and staff also appreciate the elimination of lines for the bathroom and greater speed with which the screening process is done.

The underlying information technology is built on open standards.  PassPoint™ integrates easily with existing client tracking systems, allowing staff to use software that they already are familiar with; a PassPoint™ pre-screen event becomes just another event in the clients treatment or supervision history, like a counseling interview or urinalysis drop.  All screening activity is recorded in an electronic database allowing easy access to all necessary administrative reporting including client histories, caseload summaries, and statistical summaries.  The system offers automatic mailing of activity on the system both specific to individuals or summarized by caseloads.
